Tri-State AAAEA Ramadan Iftar – May 26, 2018

The Tri-State AAAEA was delighted to host its annual Ramadan Iftar dinner on May 26, 2018. Engineers and architects, families and friends from across the Tri-State region, as well as a representative from the Chicago chapter of the AAAEA, gathered at the Sultan Cuisine restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey for the event.

An unprecedented 130 members and guests attended the Iftar to break their fast together and connect with their peers. The event began with remarks by Mr. Andre Sayegh, the first Arab-American Mayor-Elect of Paterson, the third largest city of New Jersey. He expressed his honor to be among such a vibrant, ambitious and successful group of professionals. Mr. Sayegh’s introduction was followed by a message from the President of the Tri-State AAAEA, Khaled Husein.

After fasting all day, the guests enjoyed a tasty and exquisite selection of Middle Eastern dishes. The meal was followed by an informal networking session as part of the Association’s effort to maximize the number and quality of member interactions and to create links between job seekers and potential employers. In hosting such events, the Tri-State AAAEA continues to demonstrate its critical role in supporting and expanding its professional membership.

The Tri-State AAAEA Board is thrilled with the overwhelming success of the Ramadan Iftar gathering and looks forward to hosting future events in more spacious venues in order to accommodate its growing number of members.
