Wallace Caban, PE oversees the Construction Management Division for the Port Authority of NY & NJ Engineering Department. Port Authority staff members are located at facilities including: six airports (John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark, Teterboro, Stewart and Atlantic City International airports); four bridges (George Washington, Goethals, Bayonne and Outerbridge Crossing); two tunnels (Lincoln and Holland); three bus and transportation terminals; a PATH Railway System, multiple cargo terminals and ports in both New York and in New Jersey. The Port Authority is also rebuilding the World Trade Center. During his 27-plus year Port Authority career, Caban has held increasingly responsible positions within the engineering department—construction management division at both JFK and LaGuardia. He was previously engineer of construction, LaGuardia/Stewart International Airport before being selected for his new position. His most recent accomplishment was the onsite coordination of activities required for the successful reconstruction activities for the Raise the Roadway Program for the Bayonne Bridge which has received national recognition along with numerous awards.
Patrick Askew leads NYCEDC’s Capital Division, managing a $6 billion project portfolio, including 90+ projects in design/construction, as well as 30+ engineers, architects, landscape architects, and other technical and administrative project support staff. In his current role, Patrick provides executive oversight for all capital design and construction work which includes large scale infrastructure projects, such as: construction of a water siphon between Staten Island and Brooklyn; design and construction of the iconic High Line Elevated Park, the design and construction of the East Midtown Greenway and the development of the proposed state of the art BQX Streetcar transportation system.

Sirin Hamsho is an award-winning engineer and innovator specializing in renewable energy. She received international awards for her patented wind turbine system design in 2015, and was recognized by the BBC’s 100 Women. Hamsho received her professional education degree from the MIT, USA and her master degree in Eco-Innovation from Université de Versailles, France. She has worked for General Electric company both in France and the United States for the past eight years.
Sirin is also a well-known media personality for her inspiring short films, where she spotlights on positiveness and inspiration globally. She currently lives in Boston with her husband Dr. Omar and their two daughters, Laya and Aline.
